I paint slowly, letting each surface accumulate until it remembers something.
Mira Ashline (b. 1988) is a painter working between Lisbon and the north of Portugal. Her canvases begin as fields of thinned oil and are built up over months — light entering slowly, edges softening, until the painting settles into a quiet that feels remembered rather than composed.
Her work has been shown across Europe and is held in private collections in Lisbon, Berlin and New York. She holds an MFA from the Slade School of Fine Art.
